Distinction Fall 2015

The latest issue of Distinction magazine hit doorsteps on August 16. I had been eagerly anticipating its arrival out of sheer curiosity, as our interview had taken place back in April and the photoshoot a couple months ago.

I can’t say enough good things about the staff at Distinction. The writer Margaret joined me for coffee at 5:30 am one damp weekday morning to gain a greater understanding of my routine and I think she portrayed it with great authenticity.

Being in front of the camera was a new experience for me and one I’m not comfortable with, being I’m normally on the other end acting as art director. But Todd and Jennifer were upbeat and pleasant, especially when it came to working with the children. And I have to give them props for enthusiastically listening to the impromptu drum solo Avery arranged for them.
